ISAIAH 17:1-7
1. The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap. 2. The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid. 3. The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, says the Lord of hosts. 4. And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the harness of his flesh shall wax lean. 5. And it shall be as when the harvester gathers the corn, and reaps the ears with his arm; and it shall be as he that gathers ears in the valley of Rephaim. 6. Yet gleaning grapes shall be left in it, as the shaking of an olive tree, two or three berries in the top of the uppermost bough, four or five in the outmost fruitful branches thereof, says the Lord God of Israel. 7. At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.
ISAIAS 17:1-7
1. Profecia sobre Damasco. He aquí que Damasco dejara de ser ciudad, y sera monton de ruinas. 2. Las ciudades de Aroer están desamparadas, en majadas se convertirán; dormirán allí, y no habra quien los espante. 3. Y cesara el socorro de Efrain, y el reino de Damasco; y lo que quede de Siria sera como la gloria de los hijos de Israel, dice Jehova de los ejércitos. 4. En aquel tiempo la gloria de Jacob se atenuara, y se enflaquecerá la grosura de su carne. 5. Y sera como cuando el segador recoge la mies, y con su brazo siega las esperas; será también como el que recoge espigas en el valle de Refaim. 6. Y quedarían en el rebuscos, como cuando sacuden el olivo; dos o tres frutos en la punta de la rama, cuatro o cinco en sus ramas mas fructíferas, dice Jehova Dios de Israel. 7. En aquel día mirara el hombre a su Hacedor,, y sus ojos contemplaran al Santo de Israel.
AMOS 1:1-8
1. The words of Amos, who was among the headmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake. 2. And he said, The Lord will roar from Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the habitation of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither. 3. Thus says the Lord; For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not turn away the the punishment thereof; because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron. 4. But I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, which shall devour the palaces of Ben-hadad. 5. I will break also the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from the plain of Aven, and him that holds the scepter from the house of Eden: and the people of Syria shall go into captivity unto Kir, says the Lord. 6. Thus says the Lord; For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they carried away captive the whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom: 7.But I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour the palaces thereof: 8. And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holds the scepter from Ashkelon, and I will turn mine hand against Ekron: and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, says the Lord God.

Las palabras de Amos, que fue uno de los pastores de Tecla, que profetizo acerca de Israel en días de Uzias rey de Judi y en días de Jeroboam hijo de Joas, rey de Israel, dos anos antes del terremoto. 2. Dijo: Jehova rugirá desde Sion, y dará su voz desde Jerusalen, y los campos de los pastores se enlutaran, y se secara la cumbre del Carmelo. 3. Así ha dicho Jehova: Por tres pecados de Damasco, y por el cuarto, no revocare su castigo; porque trillaron a Galaad con trillos de hierro. 4. Prendere fuego en la casa de Hazael, y consumira los palacios de Ben-adad. 5. Y quebrare los cerrojos de Damasco, y destruire a los moradores del valle de Aven, y los gobernadores de Bet-eden; y el pueblo de Siria sera transportado a Kir, dice Jehova. 6. Así ha dicho Jehova: Por tres pecados de Gaza, y por el cuarto, no revocare su castigo; porque llevo cautivo a todo un pueblo para entregarlo a Edom. 7. Prendere fuego en el muro de Gaza, y consmira sus palacios. 8. Y destruire a los moradores de Asdod, y a los gobernadores de Ascalon; y volvere mi mano contra Ecron, y el resto de los filisteos perecerá, ha dicho Jehova el Señor.
ISAIAH 14:29-32 PALESTINE FAMINE
29. Rejoice not thou, whole Palestine, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent's root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent. 30. And the firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety:and I will kill thy root with famine, and he shall slay thy remnant. 31. Howl, O gate; O city, thou, whole Palestine, are dissolved: for there shall come from the north a smoke, and none shall be alone in his appointed times. 32. What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation? That the Lord has founded Zion, and the poor of his people shall trust in it.
ISAIAS 14:29-32
29. No te alegres tu, Filistea toda, por haberse quebrado la vara del que te hería; porque de la raiz de la culebra saldrá áspid, y su fruto, serpiente voladora. 30. Y los primogénitos de los pobres serán apacentados, y los menesterosos se acostaran y destruire lo que de ti quedare. 31. Aulla, oh puerta; clama, oh ciudad; disuelta estas todo tu, Filistea; porque humo vendrá del norte, no quedara uno solo en sus asambleas. 32. Y que se responderá a los mensajeros de las naciones? Que Jehova fundo a Sion, y que a ella se acogerán los afligidos de su pueblo.
