ISAIAH Chapter 24
1. Behold, the Lord makes the earth empty, and makes it waste, and turns it upside down, and scatters abroad the inhabitants thereof. 2. And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of interest, so with the giver of interest to him. 3. The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the Lord has spoken this word. 4. The earth mourns and fades away, the world languishes and fades away, the haughty people of the earth do languish. 5. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. 6. Therefore has the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left. 7. The new wine mourns, the vine languishes, all the merry hearted do sigh. 8. The mirth of tambourines ceases, the noise of them that rejoice ends, the joy of the harp ceases. 9. They shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink shall be bitter to them that drink it. 10. The city of confusion is broken down: every house is shut up, that no man may come in. 11. There is a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone. 12. In the city is left desolation, and the gate is smitten with destruction. 13. When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people, there shall be as the shaking of an olive tree, and as the gleaning grapes when the vintage is done. 14. They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the Lord, they shall cry aloud from the sea. 15. Wherefore glorify you the Lord in the fires, even the name of the Lord God of Israel in the isles of the sea. 16. From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yes, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously. 17. Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth. 18. And it shall come to pass, that he who flees from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that comes up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake. 19. The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly. 20. The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again. 21. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth. 22. And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited. 23. Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the Lord of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.
ISAIAS 24:1-23
1. He aqui que Jehova hacia la tierra y la desnuda, y trastear su faz, y hace esparcir a sus moradores. 2. Y sucederá así como al pueblo, también al sacerdote; como al siervo, así a su amo; como a la criada, a su ama; como al que compra, al que vende; como al que presta, al que toma prestado; como al que da a logro, así al que lo recibe. 3. La tierra sera enteramente vaciada, y completamente saqueada; porque Jehovah ha pronunciado esta palabra. 4. Se destruyo, cayo la tierra; enfermo, cayo el mundo; enfermaron los altos pueblos de la tierra. 5. Y tierra se contamino bajo sus moradores; porque traspasaron las leyes, falsearon el derecho, quebrantaron el pacto sempiterno. 6. Por esta causa la maldicion consumió la tierra, y sus moradores fueron asolados; por esta causa fueron consumidos los habitantes de la tierra, y disminuyeron los hombres. 7. Se perdió el vino, enfermo la vid, gimieron todos los que eran alegres de corazón. 8. Ceso el regocijo de los panderos, se acabo el estruendo de los que se alegran, ceso la alegría del arpa. 9. No bebran vino con cantar; la sidra les sera amarga a los que la bebieren. 10. Quebrantada esta la ciudad por la vanidad; toda casa se ha cerrado, para que no entre nadie. 11. Hay clamores por falta de vino en las calles; todo gozo se oscureció, se desterró la alegría de la tierra. 12. La ciudad quedo desolada, y con ruina fue derribaba la puerta. 13. Porque así sera en medio de la tierra, en medio de los pueblos, como olivo sacudido, como rebuscos después de la vendimia. 14. Estos alzaran su voz, cantaran gozosos por la grandeza de Jehova; desde el mar datan voces. 15. Glorificad por esto a Jehova en los valles; en las orillas del mar sea nombrando Jehova Dios de Israel. 16. De lo postrero de la tierra oimos cánticos: Gloria al justo. Y yo dije: Mi desdicha, mi desdicha, ay de mi! Prevaricadores han prevaricado; y han prevaricado con prevaricación de desleales. 17. Terror, foso y red sobre ti, oh morador de la tierra. 18. Y acontecerá que el que huyere de le voz del terror caera en el foso; y el que saliere de en medio del foso sera preso en la red; porque de lo alto se abrirán ventanas, y temblaran los cimientos de la tierra. 19. Sera quebrantada del todo la tierra, enteramente desmenuzada sera la tierra, en gran manera sera la tierra conmovida. 20. Temblara la tierra como un ebrio, y sera removida como una choza y se agravara sobre ella su pecado, y caera, y nunca mas se levantara. 21. Acontecera en aquel día, que Jehova castigara al ejercito de los cielos en lo alto, y a los reyes de la tierra sobre la tierra. 22. Y serán amontonados como se amotina a los encarcelados en mazmorra, y en prision quedaran encerrados, y serán castigados después de muchos días. 23. La luna se avergonzara, y el sol se confundirá, cuando Jehova de los ejércitos reine en el monte de Sion y en Jerusalen, y delante de sus ancianos sea glorioso.
