JAMES 5:1-8
1. Go to now, you rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. 2. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. 3. Your gold and silver is corroded; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. You have heaped treasure together for the last days. 4. Behold, the hire of the laborers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, cries: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabbath. 5. You have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; you have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. 6. You have condemned and killed the just; and he does not resist you. 7. Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and has long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. 8. Be you also patient; establish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draws near.
SANTIAGO 5:1-8
¡Vamos ahora, ricos! Llorad y aullad por las miserias que os vendrán. 2. Vuestras riquezas están podridas, y vuestras ropas están comidas de polilla. 3. Vuestro oro y plata están enmohecidos; y su moho testificara contra vosotros, y devorara del todo vuestras carnes como fuego. Habéis acumulado tesoros para los días postreros. 4. He aquí, clama el jornal de los obreros que han cosechado vuestras tierras, el cual por engaño no les ha sido pagado por vosotros; y los clamores de los que habían segado han entrado en los oídos del Señor de los ejércitos. 5. Habéis vivido en deleites sobre la tierra, y sido disolutos; habéis engordado vuestros corazones como en día de matanza. 6. Habéis condenado y dado muerte al justo, y el no os hace resistencia. 7. Por tanto, hermanos, tened paciencia hasta la venida del Señor. Mirad como el labrador espera el precioso fruto de la tierra, aguardando con paciencia hasta que reciba la lluvia temprana y la tardía. 8. Tened también vosotros paciencia, y afirmad vuestros corazones; porque la venida del Señor se acerca.
